Back to Hungary
Helló Mindenki! Visszatértünk, nem minden kaland nélkül, az USA-ból és készen állunk az újabb feladatokra, és a modern kor magyarországi kihívásaira. Jó újra látni családtagjainkat, barátainkat, ismerőseinket, de azért, ahogy ez ilyenkor lenni szokott, amerikai barátaink máris hiányoznak.

Fulbright Spring Conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico
The last Fulbright meeting of this semester (2008-2009) took place in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I was more than lucky and honored to meet the wonderful family of international exchange teachers from all over the world. Every single American organizer and committed leader of this program did a fabulous job so thank you. I love you guys, and I'll miss you. Hopefully we soon can see each other in the near future again.

An Awesome Vacation in California
Over Spring Break we were able to take a gorgeous trip through Redwoods with its thousand years old, almost 400 ft tall trees to San Francisco, one of the most (if not the most) wonderful cities of the States. During the seven days vacation we visited the top tourist attractions on the way and Yosemite National Park. First day we made several stops along the Oregon coast; second day was devoted to the giants of sequoia trees of California. Day # 3, 4, and 5 we spent in San Francisco (where we could have stayed for a little bit more) and then headed towards Yosemite. Our 6th day we discovered the beautiful park with its waterfalls and huge rocks. The 7th day was about getting home from our fabulous trip.
A tavaszi szünetben sikerült 7 napot Californiában tölteni, ahonnan felejthetetlen élményekkel térhettünk haza, hála a gyönyörűszép tájnak és a számtalan turista látványosságnak. Sorrendben: az Atlanti Oceán partja, Redwoods az iszonyatos magasságú, korú és átmérőjű fáival, a varázslatos San Francisco és végül, de nem utolsó sorban a Yosemite Nemzeti Park lenyűgöző méreteivel, vizeséseivel.

Winter Vacation (Oregon, California, Nevada, Arizona) December 2008
Right after Christmas, my family decided to have fun outside Oregon and experienced a crazy, memorable vacation throughout four states and many fabulous places. I wish all of my friends and family members could see what we were able to observe and discover during these days. Unforgettable yet tiring, it was one our longest trips we have ever taken by car. Some 3000 miles, many gallons of gas, thousands of pictures, a 3 years old in the back seat, a flat tire and huge number of gorgeous sites to visit and choose from have obviously meant a great challenge. Fortunately, my awesome family could stick together and survived this beautiful journey. We'd like to share some of those moments with the help of a few randomly chosen pictures from the thousands. Thanks Fulbright for this precious gift. A téli szünetben hatalmas fába vágtuk fejszénket és nekiindultunk a végtelen utaknak négy államon – California, Arizona, Nevada es persze szűk kis hazánk Oregon – át. Szerencsénk volt látni a Halál Völgyét, Grand Canyont, Las Vegast, Los Angelest és még sok minden mást. Kívánjuk, hogy mindazok, akik ezt a blogot lapozgatják, végig élvezhessenek egy hasonló utat. Csaknem 5000 km, óriási mennyiségű üzemanyag, rengeteg fotó alapanyag, csodaszép helyek, defekt, egy haroméves a hátsó ülésen kiváló alapanyagot szolgáltattak egy felejthetetlen utazáshoz. Köszönjük a Fulbrightnak - és mindazoknak, akik segítettek ebben a programban - a fantasztikus élményeket. Az alábbi képek talán adnak egy kis ízelítőt az útból.
